Working with anxiety is about exploration. This can happen quickly. 

Using session time to sit with the experience (instead of willing it away) often very quickly reduces the anxiety.  It will also quickly reveal the origin of the anxiety.

 

We can then get on with the work of reorienting to ease.  This may involve more exploration, repair of traumatic memories, or simply a few mindfulness sessions.

Many people opt for help from a medication when anxiety is too disruptive – such as keeping them from getting things done, eating well, or sleeping well.  The need for medication may be reduced as we work together.
